Elon Musk Announces The Highly Anticipated Cybertruck Technology
Tesla ushered in an unprecedented age of autonomy when it created the vehicle’s hardware and software. Elon Musk, Tesla’s founder and CEO, speaks boldly about its newest product – Hardware 4. Moreover, he has made several revolutionary statements regarding the up-and-coming vehicle, the Cybertruck. Developments in automated driving capabilities mark a major milestone for both Tesla and the broader technology industry.
Tesla Cybertruck Will Be Introduced With Hardware 4 Hardware
Full Self Driving software runs on what Tesla calls Hardware 3 today. The 4th version, which started to be developed last year, will be released with Cybertruck.
An investor asked Elon Musk if the vehicles could be upgraded to Hardware 4. Making a statement on the subject, Musk said, “Hardware update is unfortunately not an issue on our agenda. There are two main reasons for this not happening. The first reason is that no difference between Hardware 3 and Hardware 4 requires an upgrade in terms of autonomous driving performance. Second, the cost of upgrading equipment for vehicle owners is substantial.”
Hardware 4 Offers a Better Autonomous Self Driving Performance.
Tesla’s Hardware 3 technology has already proven to be 200-300% more effective for driving than other vehicles with Full Self Driving software. According to CEO Elon Musk, this rate will jump even higher – a 500-600% improvement from the previous hardware – thanks to their new and improved Hardware 4 system.
At the 2022 fourth-quarter financial meeting, Elon Musk fielded questions about Cybertruck, originally slated for release in 2021 but has since been delayed for three years. He reassured attendees that production would commence this summer and that mass production won’t start until next year; “The start of production is an unimportant detail for us,” he declared confidently.
