Recently, Tesla revealed its financial standing from the previous quarter. CEO Elon Musk announced that the highly anticipated Cybertruck model will not enter into full-volume production until 2024 when reporting their earnings.
A New Date for Tesla Cybertruck Production Is Announced
Last year, the start of mass production for Cybertruck was initially projected to begin in 2023. Yet, when asked whether this goal would be realized, Musk hesitantly confirmed that individual production would commence this year, with full-scale manufacturing beginning in 2024.
Cybertruck was unveiled with great anticipation at a well-attended event in 2019. Since then, the planned launch dates have been repeatedly pushed back due to the COVID crisis. Initially slated for late 2021, production has now been delayed until 2024. Moreover, Elon Musk recently declared that there could be slight modifications made to Cyburtruck’s specs and cost when it is finally released on the market.
Time May be Running Out for Cybertruck.
The evidence suggests that the majority of Cybertruck production will take place at Tesla‘s Gigafactory in Texas, and all essential equipment is ready to go. Unfortunately, industry experts are warning that time is running out for Cybertruck with more electric pick-up models like F-150 Lightning, GMC Hummer EV, Rivian R1T, and RAM 1500 EV entering the market.
